Conventional fire alarm systems

This type of system would typically be installed in commercial and large domestic property. It is an independent system with it's own central processing unit.

Attached to the system would be smoke detection devices, heat detection devices, loud sirens, and deliberately operated call points.

The central processing unit has the capability of driving an external communications device, either connected to an alarm system or as a standalone, which would contact the emergency services.

Fire detection using your intruder alarm system

This option would only be used for domestic and very small commercial property.

This system does not have a dedicated central processing unit but instead uses the intruder alarm to monitor for fire. Attached to your alarm would be smoke & heat detection devices.

If your alarm is monitored it could use the existing communications device to contact the emergency services.

Standard smoke alarms; battery & mains operated.

If you only require independently operated smoke alarms this is the option for you, we can sell you these over the counter for about £7.50 or install them for you.

You can have battery operated smoke alarms, or mains driven, which means no batteries to replace! - You must check your smoke alarms regularly and changes any batteries every one - six months dependent on any false activation's.
